In continuing with the theme of the last few Monday Motivation posts, it’s only right to set one very important fact about fear straight.
I’m sure I’ve said this before but it bears repeating and I’ll always say it…You can’t get rid of fear.
To some this may be off putting, but it’s the truth.
You are bound to be afraid of something at one time or another but, even though you can’t get rid of that fear the only way for one to overcome fear or anything for that matter is to work through it.
I was reminded of this while watching the Disney Pixar film “The Good Dinosaur”. Fear is an inevitable part of living, even the bravest of people have their fears. We can only make that transition from fear to fearlessness by facing our fears. That transition begins when your need to achieve your goal is greater than the thing you’re scared to do. It is in that realisation and point of action that you show fear what you’re made of.
These life lessons tend to elevate us out of our own little bubble and into being part of a greater good for our communities and generations to come.
So is it that you’re family will be better off once you face that thing that’s been holding you back for so long, or are you in a transition period of your life that’s taking you out of your comfort zone and to a new level?
Whatever it is, show fear what you’re made of by taking courage, go forward anyway!
